Introduction

Hi! My name is Lana Capps. I am a former teacher, a wife, a mother and a grandmother. I grew up as a military dependent and married my husband who made the military his career. I have always enjoyed taking pictures. I have taken pictures that really appeal to my eye, the play of light and shadows in the forests, the beauty of sailboats on the water, the flight of large birds in the air (their grace and beauty). Well I hope you get the idea.

Although I have taken pictures all of my life, I did not develop this passion until I was told by some of my friends and acquaintances that my pictures looked like they were taken by a professional or that they were picture postcards (and checking the back to make sure that they weren’t picture postcards). Since I have retired from teaching, I have been able to dedicate more time to pursuing taking pictures that pique the eye.
